Warsawpack, The Casualties, Bad Religion We left Toronto at 5:15 (luckily I got a drive to Hamilton), went to the bank, pick up my mom's friend Ann, and got food at a Coffee Time. The drive was fine until we got into Hamilton. The thing is that we did not know that Hamilton is made up of one way streets. So my mom missed the street we were supposed to turn onto and ended up having to pull a U-turn on a one way street with cars heading our way! Then we met David at Tim Hortons. My mom had an urge to go to a Canadian Tire so he showed us where it was. That was surreal. Buying a Koolatron in a Canadian Tire with my mom her friend Ann Mish and David. Then we went to the venue (minus my mom and Ann). We went straight inside and the 3 of us handed out about 600 of David's flyers. I went to merch and bought a Bad Religion tshirt. I was a little disappointed that the only Bad Religion merch they had was clothing, I wanted to get another one of their CDs. Warsawpack played first. They were pretty odd. They were like... political rap? I thought it was cool though since it was political and all. The singer was pretty crazy. He reminded me of a horny dog having seizures. There were a lot of people in that band and they didn't play a lot of songs. The Casualties played a ton of short songs without much talking between songs. They were pretty good and had nice big hair. They played the two songs of theirs I knew, Punx Unite and Unemployed. They were a good punk band, and the singer said he liked us all, whether we were skinheads of beer punks or called ourselves emo. Bad Religion were awesome. Greg (the guitarist) was really energetic and bouncy. I love the singer Greg's voice, it's nice and deep. The only thing was between sets I think they were trying to be too funny. Songs Bad Religion played were: Kyoto Now! (their opening song), Prove It, Supersonic, American Jesus, Recipe For Hate, Man With A Mission, All Good Soldiers, The Defense, Can't Stop It, Suffer, Do What You Want, 21st Century (Digital Boy), and Sorrow (which they ended with). They actually played more songs than that, however those were the ones that I know. I loved The Defense and Suffer since those are my favourite songs of theirs. Also it was good that they played older songs too. Also during all of Bad Religion there was this dancing dude. He just danced and danced. He was pissing everyone off because he kept bumping into them but I thought the guy was great. It's really cool when someone just has fun and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. It's too bad that some guys were shoving him a bit though. Anyways I ended up dancing with him (he showed how to do his dancing) and Mish was laughing at me. It was so much fun though, after he thanked me for having a good time and kissed his hand then touched my forehead. After the show ended David and his friend walked us back to the car. That was basically my night, it was a great show, and I'm so glad I went because it was a lot of fun. |
